nope, you can  do 2 subs @ 2ohms to a single amplifier. THats what I'm doing in the van (6) DMX15 with (3) P3000.1 amps.

Series the coils (on each sub) to 4ohms then parallel the "pair" of subs to 2 ohms and wire to a single 3000.1.

or do a 5000.1 per DMX (2500rms @1ohm)

My actual suggestion would be consider a differ amp, many of the best setups use multiple brands of equipment. We do it all the time

All i know till now is that the p3000.1 cannot be bridged so the load on the sub dmx12 is unstable. We tried to make exactly the way is saying here but still if the amps are not linked.Even a Dmx 12 with only the p3000.1 wired at 2ohms is at the maximum risk for burning the amp. I am talking by the bad exprience. Still there are some mods to be done on the sub to get the desired booming and all the efficiency. As the car is for nice installation with 2 big amps will go nice.I think the p3000.1 was made for a maximum of 2 dmx. The first full reading on the car I installed with a dmx12 and p3000.1 @ 69hz wired 2ohms was 144.3db and was at the risk. I convinced the owner that is at his own risk an then I wired at 4 ohms to keep safe the amp.Now as an everyday music car is doing 141.3db @4 ohms with the amp half full gain and bass boost, freq at @72 hz.Box is + or - 3.2cubic feet.

Just My opinion as technical and bad experience of burning the pcb boards of a p 3000.1.
cool eheh isn`t it?

So what you are saying is that the P3000 is NOT 2ohm stable? I  think the problem is that the car didn't have the electrical system for the loads that were presented. If you drive an amp that will draw near 300amps (14.4) @2ohms on an electrical system that can deliver only 100amps @ 12vdc, the power supplies of the amp will burn out. From my understanding, this was the biggest problem that Massive Audio has seen with their larger amps, specifically the P3000.1 amps.
I suppose that's where a regulated power supply would be good. But then, that depends on what t's regulated to!

im not that great with this stuff, but it was my understandind that a DMX12 can only be wired at 1 or 4 ohms. . how did you get 2ohms?

That's true. A single DMX can only be wired to 1ohm or 4 ohms (unless using multiple amps on it, then it could be DVC 2ohm or DVC 1/2ohm). This is a quad 1ohm coil configuration subwoofer.

I still think Massive ought to make it a DVC 2ohm subwoofer with 4" coils. The DVC 2ohm would make it easier to configure and 4" coils would disapate heat better.

The D5000.1 is 2500watts rms @1ohm,so yes...it will drive that KICKER L7 @2ohms. You could actually use that single amp on 2 of those subs just fine.
