That ram looks to be flexin' pretty good (judging by the fron door). What airspace ya got those 15's in?

The box is roughly 12 gross before displacements, big port, nothing too fancy....

it's tuned low and can play all the way to 18hz

normally "burp" at 31hz   I can do/have done a bigger number @ higher freq (if the box was retuned) but like to keep it tuned down low for demos.

It actually use to play a little lower until the baffle gave on the original box build :)

did a 149 at the dash burping 25 hz at this weekends comp..   dash score is lower than my headrest score.

did a 151.3 when burping 32hz

over a db down at the dash

**the truck is built to burp at the headrest, not the dash.... Normally I do MECA

Did you ever run the carbon fiber dmx's? I guess what Jeremy said was right about the black aluminum cone being able to play lower frequency...nice numbers!

I have one carbon fiber that I used to swap for testing when I ran a single.

the carbon fiber would play down low ok, but tuned the same as the aluminum the CF would peak at a higher freq....  I think at the time I was peaking at 32hz with the aluminum and doing 143's and peaking at 45hz with the CFdoing 144's (at the time of testing I didn't have a T/L meter so results aren't all that accurate)

I didn't do any sort of extensive testing.  I do have a pair of the CF's sitting that I could use to test if I get ambitious.. and of course have my own T/L at this point..

Typtically, heavier material (Aluminum) will play lower frequency that lighter material (Carbon  Fiber). However, the lighter material will (should) have quicker response time. Personally, my van is becoming a demo/show vehicle. IT WILL do better #'s at lower frequencies soon enough. Busy designing an enclosure for my DMX15s that "should" enable bass boxing @158+dB with only 9K watts. Will be awhile till done, but I will keep you all posted when I start the build.

the aluminum drivers have a softer suspension and surround than the original CF woofers....  just to add that into the mix... as well as the coil sits slightly higher in the gap on the aluminum...   I need to get a good t/s parameter measure on one of the aluminum drivers...

***Good luck with the new build...  I'll be rebuilding soon enough.. 3-15's and atleast 6 of the p1500's until I can get ahold of some of the nano N4 amps  then there will be 6 of those instead.  I wanna see a 55 @ 30 this year still running a stock class :)

I like how you say "only 9k watts", my h2 should be done in a couple of weeks, my guy had a hard time with the box, i'm not gonna post pics until its done, I have a ton of them
