I missed on the ports and the x-over on the amp. The port calcuator said the box is tuned to 20hz, so I need to cut the ports down 5" each to get it tuned at 44hz.What's the break-in for the sub and can it take two D5000.1s.Also my series/parallel wiring came to 1.4ohm before I put the sub in the box.
1.4ohms sounds right (.5ohm per pair of coils). Will the sub take a pair of the amps......YES. for burps it'll be fine. Watch the volume for long term music listening though. Break-in period is 8hrs. I gave my 15's roughly 4hrs at moderate volume before "getting into them".They are definately louder now than they were when brand new.

Just for sh!ts and giggles, add another set of aero ports and keep the length the same. That will increase the port area to (roughly) 50in^2 and tune to the high 30-low 40Hz area. This will equal higher output (spl) with a good frequency. Give it  a try!

What you're after is a high effeciency enclosure (high volume "SPL" with minimal power). Then add your second amplifier.

Hello,
The breaking in period i would recommend for the DMX is around 6 to 8 hours, out of the box with low volume low frequency being played threw it. If you have a frequency CD that's perfect. You really don't want to hear anything just have that cone moving up and down. If you have 1-DMX15 I wouldn't put anymore than 1,200 watts RMS for any music play so 1-D5000.1 would be perfect. But for straight SPL competition 2-D5000.1 strapped together would give you 5000 Watts RMS at 2OHM which could be used for straight SPL 30 second burbs.

OK sounds good and yes the set-up is for 100% competition. If I use a 4.73cuft box what would the port be. And also the my sub is a 1.3ohm x 4? I checked it with two meters and both say 1.3.

1.3 Ohm sounds about right. I will get al this info to the box guy and have him plug everything in and post it ASAP. You want to tune it at 44Hz Right? Talk with you soon. ;)

As far as area goes.......I'd say 56.76in^2.

I'd personally go with 76in^2 area with 16" depth.

That should tune to around 40Hz witha peak of around 45Hz (depending on vehicle transfer function).

Hi guys will the D5000.1 be ok at  1/2 ohm? I know it loves 0.70 and never gets a little hot, but I want to check before I do it. I have two red tops and one is only one foot of wire from the battery.

You have to keep the D5000 at 1 ohm or higher. The DB8000 however is 0.5 ohm stable so maybe that a beter choice if you have to run at 0.5 ohm. Thank you~

Did one that is 2.88 cuft net with 58^in port it is a lot louder. I still would like you to work some numbers for me. And the box is 2.88+58sq in port tuned to 46hz.
